What is Board-certified?Why The New River Valley
Dr. Zack's path to orthodontics began well before dental school. In 2010, he started providing patient care as a volunteer orthodontic assistant, where he developed an early appreciation for the difference orthodontic treatment can make in a person's life.
After becoming a dentist in 2017, he continued to build his clinical experience before pursuing advanced specialty training in orthodontics in 2020.
Today, those years of experience shape the way he approaches every patient—with confidence built through time, continual learning, and a focus on doing what's right for each individual.
Orthodontics requires years of additional education beyond dental school. Dr Zack completed specialized orthodontic training and continues to stay current with evolving techniques, research, and technology.

Why Orthodontics
As a teenager, Dr Zack visited two very different orthodontic offices. One felt rushed and impersonal. The other felt welcoming, relaxed, and focused on the patient.
That experience stayed with him.
He realized that a career orthodontics can lead to a comfortable life while using art, hand-skills, and science to help people feel better about their health and appearance.
❝I hope my patients are excited to see me years from now and still happy with their teeth.❞— Dr Zack

Core Values
Dr Zack wants patients to leave appointments feeling confident about where they are, where they're headed, and why we're recommending a particular treatment.

Orthodontic treatment can feel overwhelming when options aren't explained clearly. Dr Zack takes time to answer questions, discuss alternatives, and help patients understand their treatment before making decisions.
Every smile is different. Treatment recommendations are based on facial harmony, bite function, long-term stability, and the goals that matter most to each patient.
From flexible scheduling to a relaxed office environment, every effort is made to make treatment easier for busy families and working adults.
Treatment Philosophy
A healthy smile is about more than appearance.
Dr Zack evaluates how teeth fit together, how the bite functions, facial harmony, long-term stability, and other factors that influence oral health over time. By considering the bigger picture, treatment can be designed to create results that look great and function well for years to come.
Whether treatment involves braces, clear aligners, growth modification, surgery, or advanced digital planning, every recommendation starts with the same goal: delivering the right treatment for the individual patient.

Outside the office
When he's not helping patients create healthier smiles, Dr Zack enjoys meditation, weightlifting, yoga, hiking, reading, music, and spending time outdoors. He values balance, continuous learning, and bringing positive energy into both his professional and personal life.
