Dr Zack Bracket
Board-Certified Orthodontist

As a teenager I met a fun, relaxed orthodontist â€‹who significantly improved my life and inspired me to do the same for others.

For over 18 years, becoming an orthodontist and starting a practice has been my main focus.

It is a dream come true to positively impact the lives of others, as my orthodontist did for me.

I appreciate the many many past, present, and future teammates who help me keep this dream alive

Frequently Asked Questions

Why did you choose the New River Valley?

I grew up in northern VA and attended Radford University. I fell in love with this area for the slower pace of living, beautiful scenery, and charming southern culture.

Where did you go to Orthodontic School?

I trained at Tufts in Boston for 6 years and graduated in the top 5% of the class. I'm thankful for Dr. Sercan Akyalcin and many other great teachers who continue to guide me when needed.

What do you enjoy outside of orthodontics?

My favorite thing is to wake up feeling well rested with no plans then go with the flow of the day. Some other things I like are: playing competitive games, weightlifting, yoga, hiking, movies, reading, music, dancing when the mood strikes, and disc golf.

Why start at 2pm?

My sister has said that for as long as she has known me, I never liked to wake up early.. I'm very very excited to wake up to NO alarm every day, take care of my own health, then provide health care for others.

I can play the didgeridoo, solve a rubix cube, moon walk, meditate for 12+ hours in a day, speak Spanish and Portuguese, was voted President of the Pre-Dental Club (College), Orthodontic Study Club (Dental School), Orthodontic Class (Residency), and 3rd grade (Elementary School), ex-Professional Halo 2+3 Esport player, reached Rank #8 in Overwatch, grew my hair into a skullet, and I once burped hiccuped coughed and sneezed all at the same time.
